10 Iced Coffee Recipes to Make at Home All Summer

Collage of four different iced coffee drinks.

I love iced coffee year-round, but in the summer it’s non-negotiable.

There’s just something about a cold, creamy, slightly fancy coffee that makes the whole day feel better, especially if it’s one where you’ve been running around nonstop and could use a caffeine boost.

One of my absolute favorite things to do when I’m travelling is to explore local coffee shops and see what kind of fun flavors they’ve come up with…and then make them at home for myself so I can have them anytime I want, without having to get in the car or shell out $7.

This collection includes everything from cold brew and flavored cold foams to homemade syrups so you can make your favorite coffee shop recipes at home. As an added bonus, I even included coffee popsicles and Vietnamese coffee ice cream.

Some are everyday drinks, some are dessert, but they’re all easy, fun, and give coffee shop energy without the coffee shop line.

Why You’ll Love These Iced Coffee Recipes

These recipes are easy to make at home, but they still feel special enough to turn your regular morning coffee into a moment of calm.

Most of them can be made ahead, so you can keep cold brew, flavored creamer, or cold foam in the fridge and assemble your drink in a minute or two when you’re on the go. They’re also budget-friendly compared to grabbing coffee out every day, and you can tweak the sweetness, milk, and flavors exactly how you like them.

make Better Iced Coffee at Home

Start with a good base, like homemade French press cold brew or strong chilled coffee. From there, add a flavored syrup, creamer, or cold foam depending on the mood.

For something fruity and summery, use the peach syrup. For something cozy, go with pumpkin cold foam or Irish cream cold foam. For something classic, sweet cream cold foam is always the move. And for something a little more grown-up and unexpected, the tahini creamer is so good.

The easiest routine is to make one base recipe and one flavoring at the beginning of the week. It makes it so much easier to start your day with something a little more special than just a simple cup of drip coffee with creamer.

Once you start making iced coffee recipes at home, it’s honestly hard to stop. You can control the sweetness, skip the drive-thru, and make flavors that are more interesting than the standard vanilla-or-caramel situation.

Try one of these recipes, then mix and match the syrups, cold foams, and creamers to make your own favorite iced coffee combination. And be sure to check back for a new “Emotional Support Coffee of the Month” recipe  with serious busy foodie energy each month!
